Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of High Speed Delivery, Reliability Engineering, Production support is responsible for the following activities:

  • Direct a team of Incident Managers in the triage/troubleshooting of HSD/Gateway Modem devices for both RDKB & Native
  • Taking part in the Change Control Board to ensure that any software system changes meet documentation and testing standards before they are deployed, and engaging all appropriate resources to troubleshoot operational issues
  • Provide technical solutions to operational problems
  • Trending and monitoring FW deploys to ensure stability
  • Working with Engineering and Incident Managers to identify and address issues, gaps and remediate high-severity incidents
  • In-take for new Hardware
  • Working with team members to ensure the correct SOP’s and triage documents are created and maintained
  • Training & mentoring of new and junior team members
  • Oversee administration of Unix systems, Red-Hat-based Linux systems, and relational database management systems using JIRA, Service Now, and Splunk;
  • Utilize SVN, GIT, Apache MVN, Ruby, Python, Perl, and Bash to contribute to the implementation of new commercial or opensource products and services
  • Travel as required

This position will interface with internal groups such as the Comcast Technology Solutions, Broadband CPE HW Development, Broadband CPE SW/FW Development, Quality Assurance, CPE Security, CPE Engineering, Program Management and various technical operations teams to ensure the CPE meets our requirements.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • 7 years working in a Product Management role
  • 7 years Broadband CPE for Cable/MSOs
  • Technical knowledge of design, development and certification for the following:
  • WiFi experience with 802.11 standards and features
  • Voice PacketCable 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 (IMS/NCS)
  • Software/Firmware Development process (RDK-B)
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
