Team/Role Details

Our team is responsible for scheduling and managing recordings for the X1 DVR product. The scheduler system serves approximately 6 Billion requests per month and provides DVR scheduling and program reminders functionality to the X1 platform. We operate the platform out of multiple datacenters and across the country are aggressively look to build out machine learning and automation to elastically scale to meet demand when necessary.

We are looking for an individual who is ready to lean and also being new ideas to the team. It is helpful to have someone who is eager to learn and willing to work though some issues independently. We have been successful in acclimating new team members as we have hired 4 ENG2s in the past 24 months (1 was promoted in March).

Candidate Preferred Experience:

  • Java
  • Some experience/knowledge of Web Services
  • NOSQL is helpful but it can be learned
