With ""2M customers and $5B in annual revenue, Comcast Business is one of the largest and fastest growing departments within Comcast. The Business Data & Intelligence team (BDI) is tasked with meeting the reporting and data needs of Comcast Business. This includes working with multiple organizations like Customer Operations, Retention, Marketing, Finance and Sales to provide data, reporting, research and analysis to help drive the business and maximize performance.
This Manager position will be responsible for overseeing and participating in the end to end process of report building and report operations to meet the needs of these organizations. Day to day activities will include report development and operation and working with end users to validate data and gather requirements as well as researching issues/anomalies with data, systems and processes. This manager will also oversee the report development of senior analysts on the BDI Reporting workstream. This individual will be part of a larger Business Intelligence organization that includes developers, project managers and other analysts.
Responsible for managing the daily and overall work processes and practical implementation of relevant standards within one or more assigned areas of the Engineering department. Monitors assigned areas of
the Engineering families to ensure adherence to relevant standards. Ensures all work processes are efficient and consistent in their daily application. Identifies flaws in the work process and recommends
solutions. Manages direct and dotted line reports and works on cross-functional teams. Coordinates complex and multi-disciplined engineering projects from design to implementation in accordance with
the company's policies.

-Creates and maintains a system of metrics and reporting standards by which to measure and report the real-time results of workflow and practical application of relevant standards.
-Analyzes results of metrics and reports to determine effective work processes and standards and identify flaws. Recommends solutions to work process and standards flaws.
-Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and procedures. Acts as a key stakeholder in strategic decisions around products, platforms, and technologies.
-Directs the daily and overall performance of department projects. Delegates responsibilities when necessary. Ensures projects are completed on time and in adherence to the given budget and in accordance to company standards.
-Manages direct and dotted line reports. Acts as a resource for technical and workflow issues. Mentors, recruits, and guides staff, ensuring access to ongoing training programs, policies, operational procedures and guiding them in building their technical skillset.

-Develops business requirements, assesses current reporting capabilities, and makes recommendations for improvement.
-Takes requests for reporting deliverables through the end to end process both as a project manager as an individual contributor.
-Exercises in-depth knowledge of advanced SQL, ETL, Tableau development.
-Builds and executes daily, weekly, monthly recurring and ad-hoc reports that span multiple areas of the organization including Customer Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, Retention, Care, Tech Ops, and Legal. Ensure reports meet business needs.
-Delivers reports to management in HQ, Corporate, and the field. Be able to speak to the data, metrics, and calculations of developed and assigned reports. Be able to identify potential issues, behavior trends, process gaps and make recommendations based on the data.
-Assists management in identifying and delivering new reporting capabilities. Able to take reporting asks from idea to implementation. Recommends innovative solutions.
-Utilizes SQL and SQL Server databases, Tableau, Excel and other reporting software to design and generate reports as requested. Implement report automation when applicable. Develops distribution protocol for requested information.
-Utilizes Agile development methodology and JIRA ticketing tool to manage incoming requests, scope, and balance workload.
-Deconstructs technical concepts and metrics to reverse engineer existing procedures and communicates technical concepts in laymen's terms to stakeholders.
-Documents results of reporting procedures, requirements, and reports in a highly organized fashion both with internal collaborators and external stakeholders.
-Works with end users and stakeholders to understand data, systems, and procedures. Turns these interactions into actionable requests.
-Improves efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Surfaces recurring problems with report processes, policies, or procedures and suggests ways to resolve problems to better serve customers and/or to improve productivity.
-Represents Comcast in a professional and positive manner in all situations.
-Communicates effectively with individuals and teams to ensure high quality and timely completion of projects. Builds relationships with management to ensure reporting needs are being met.
-Oversee onboarding of new team members and participate in the creation and enhancement of training materials.
