Freewheel New York's Engineering Team is part of our global engineering group who are building advanced and high quality applications, servers, and tools that are changing the future of advertising.
In our team we build software and hardware solutions that run externally in the environments of our partners and customers. As a core member of the team, your main focus will be all aspects of developing highly reliable backend software for our very diverse delivery systems and custom integrations.
Build enterprise-level software, including design, implementation, unit tests, peer review, deployment, and monitoring needs.
Work closely with multiple development teams on integration and end-to-end testing.
Work with Product Management teams, and sometimes directly with clients, in order to understand and develop requirements.
Help improve performance, quality, availability, and scalability of our systems and solutions.
1 years of work experience with BS or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another quantitative discipline or 3 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with Linux/Unix.
Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Independent, responsible, with a commitment to quality.
Experience with the Hadoop and Athena ecosystems.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Automatic Deployment.
Familiarity with digital and linear television infrastructure and technology.
