DUTIES: Provide leadership within the Enterprise Business Intelligence team, responsible for providing uniform, consistent access to Comcast's data assets, ensuring inherent data quality, and enabling advanced analytics in order to drive profitable growth; perform software development, process improvement, and operational support across various data warehouse technological platforms, including Teradata, Tableau, and Hadoop; collaborate with data modelers and analysts to understand business problems, and work to solve issues by transforming large, complex data into business assets that support analysis within the EBI team and throughout the organization; execute complex SQL queries to extract, load, and maintain large volumes (10 Terabytes) of data; develop software and database solutions to support data analysis and exploitation, utilizing SQL, Perl, Java, and Unix scripting within multiple operating system platforms, such as Linux/Unix, Apple OS, and Windows; architect software and database frameworks that are reusable, scalable and easy to maintain; provide end-user support, including the resolution of data quality tickets and ad-hoc end-user questions; triage, research, develop, and test bug fixes, and implement solutions for data or software code issues; ensure data and software quality assurance practices are executed accurately, including inspecting, testing and evaluating software performance; mentor and guide junior-level team members on best practices, procedures and techniques.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; and five (5) years of software and database engineering experience, utilizing two (2) of the following programming languages: SQL, Perl and Java and building and maintaining complex software solutions and applications in a production environment; and of which three (3) years of experience must include utilizing Teradata, within multiple operating system platforms, including Linux/Unix, Apple OS and Windows.
