Comcast is expanding an enterprise Business Intelligence team, including advanced analytics across multiple very large data sets. The role of the Sr. Manager, Data Quality is to ensure the quality and completeness of data across various business systems as they are managed in our Enterprise ecosystem. This position will be focused on our new Xfinity Mobile data, responsible for writing data quality requirements for the ingestion and processing of data, creating dashboards and scorecards via data quality rules and monitoring data to detect and drive resolution for data quality issues. This is an analytical and technical management role. The pace is challenging but realistic.

Main responsibilities will be:

- Managing & Team Development Build a team of Data Quality Analysts, manage their performance and communicate effectively both cross functionally and with senior management

- Data Profiling Profile files and databases, identify business rules and requirements for ingestion and processing of data

- Analysis

-Identify and define validation and monitoring logic to ensure that data anomalies are detected and contained within thresholds

-Identify patterns, trends and inconsistencies; draw conclusions and provide recommendations in the form of remediation, corrective (CARs) and preventative (PAR) actions.

- Issue Triage research data quality issues

- Stakeholder Engagement capture business rules and filtering unique to data use and business decision making

- Technical Writing requirements, event summaries and recommendations (etc.)

- Process Modeling and documentation

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong prioritization and time management skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Business process documentation experience and skills

- Profiling large, complex data sets

- Ability to design and implement data quality metrics:

-Scorecards

-Dashboards

-Thresholds

- Knowledge of tools to query and manipulate data in varying file formats including Teradata

- Knowledge of referential and large data formats and file structures

- Strong experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) Analyst & Developer preferred

- Ability to apply the principles of data quality standards

- Knowledge of programming and software development lifecycle (SDLC)

- Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies

- Ability to convey complex technical issues/problems to programmers in a clear/concise manner

- Ability to convey complex concepts to business stakeholders in terms relevant to the business

Experience:

- 10 years of relevant employment experience

- 7 years writing technical requirements and business logic

- 5 years process documentation and depicting data lineage

- 5 years interpreting data models, data dictionaries and queries

- 5 years of complex query writing and interpretation

- Ability to write moderately complex SQL queries required

- Exposure to the following a plus: Hortonworks, Hadoop, Teradata

- Exposure to the following a plus: Informatica, Tableau, Metric Insights, SAS

- Knowledge of account, device, service, operations and marketing domains a plus

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required with related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Ability to analyze complex data, business processes, and information flow needs. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to drive data quality concepts and solutions.
