Contribute to teams responsible for applying, maintaining, and reporting on data quality for various products, databases, and initiatives within Comcast's Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) platform; perform data analytics across multiple large data sets in order to ensure the quality and completeness of data across various business systems as they are managed in Comcast's enterprise systems; perform root cause analysis and impact analysis on reported defects in various databases and processes and recommend solutions to defects; utilize highly-developed SQL skills in multiple environments, including SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, and Netezza; perform UAT (user acceptance testing) for quality assurance; liaise with cross-functional groups to troubleshoot and assess data defects and business impact; provide status of current defects undergoing analysis and resolution at daily scrum meetings; hold analysis reviews with groups of both business and technical experts, operational teams, and managed service teams to identify and solve data issues; create documentation and reports of data analysis; assist in the preparation of Monthly Operations Reviews; design and build enhanced ticketing metrics and automated alerts; and document technical requirements, event summaries, recommendations, and process modeling.
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and two (2) years of experience working with cross-functional groups to troubleshoot and assess data defects; performing user acceptance testing for quality assurance; performing root cause analysis and impact analysis on data quality issues; and utilizing SQL in at least two (2) of the following environments: SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, and Netezza.
