Job Summary:

Responsible for managing, gathering, and processing information related to everything from solution architecture. Act as architect/lead technical support for the Northeast Division for the UNIX, Linux and Windows environment with additional support of the Network environment. Activities will include providing technical lead to team members, Divisional and Corporate contacts, designing proper UNIX and Windows environment/solutions, resolution of Server and Network technical issues, system maintenance and enhancements, system monitoring using management tools and policies, evaluating impact of new releases and updates of the operating system, developing and maintaining operational standards and procedures with PCI-DSS (and other security compliance requirements).

Core Responsibilities:

Design, test, troubleshoot, setup and administer technical architecture for all UNIX, Linux (Red Hat and CentOS) and Windows servers. Perform development and implementation tasks associated with both existing and newly created technical projects

Provide UNIX and Windows administration functions including installation and administration of application software, monitoring the usage and plans for future capacity needs, defining and developing reliable and secure backup and restore procedures, preparing high availability and disaster recovery plans.

Ability to collect information on new projects and identify the requirements. Propose a valid solution with cyber security standards

Understanding of Networking fundamentals (IP/Netmask/Gateway/supernets, traceroute, LACP/bonding, query DNS masters, A/CNAME/PTR/MX/NS records)

Understanding of SAN, Cisco MDS preferred, how it works, zoning, ISL/trunking

Understanding of storage devices, EMC, HP 3Par, Pure Storage, Dell Compellent. Create "drives", present storage to systems with multipathing

Understanding of VMware (5.5 or newer), vCenter, ESXi server build and configuration, vmotion, version upgrades

Understanding of Oracle RAC in Linux environment

Understanding of Scripting knowledge, sh/csh/perl/etc

Understanding of System monitoring , either self-configured or global

Able to build and manage software/applications from source

Provide explanation of technical matters with others, both within the team and/or with other groups in other divisions

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work

nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

Job Specification:

- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent

- Information Sciences, Technology, Computer Science-

- Generally requires 7-11 years related experience as follows:

- Minimum of 5 years UNIX and Windows experience in an Enterprise environment

- Minimum 5 years of system administration experience.

- Minimum of 2 years network support and troubleshooting experience
